Washington Butler is from Puyallup, a city who was interested in arts and culture from an early age. She was a contestant in singing contests she performed in the theatre department at her high school and was a singer in choirs. Following her move from Los Angeles, she studied acting in the University of Southern California and performed as Belle the princess on the stage in Beauty and the Beast at Disneyland for one year and one quarter.
